The John Burroughs High School Auditorium is one of the largest theaters for show choir competitions anywhere in the country.

The Burroughs Music Showcase Concert Choir Competition is held in the JBHS Multi-Purpose Room (MPR), utilizing seven 4-step Wenger choral risers and a standard choral shell.
Directly adjacent to both the JHBS Auditorium and MPR is the JBHS Quad, where students and spectators can relax between performances and local vendors serve breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the day.
Closed-circuit television monitors throughout the schoolincluding each school's home roomkeep everyone aware of what's happening onstage.

Established in 1948 and named for 19th and 20th century essayist and naturalist John Burroughs, the seven building campus was completely remodeled in 2002. Student enrollment is approximately 2800. Mr. Emilio Urioste is principal.
Notable alumni include Debbie Reynolds, Ron Howard and Rene Russo.
John Burroughs High School has been the setting for numerous film and television productions including The Wonder Years and Glee.
